Complaints Procedures & Policy Summary
We operate the following complaints procedure. We are required to keep a 'summary log' of all complaints. This is to be made available to parents as well as to Ofsted inspectors. A full procedure is set out and held by Wendron Pre-School you may view it at any time it acts as the 'summary log' for this purpose.
How to Complain
A parent who is uneasy about any aspect of our provision should first of all talk over any worries and anxieties with the pre-school leader, who will log all complaints on our official complaints form, it is an OFSTED requirement that all complaints are investigated and that you the parent/carer are given an account of the findings and the action taken to resolve the situation. If this does not resolve the problem the next stage is to request a meeting with the manager and/or the management committee.
If the matter is still not sorted out to the parent's satisfaction, they should again contact the management committee. If parent and group cannot reach agreement, it might be helpful to invite an external mediator, one who is acceptable to both parties, to listen to both sides and offer advice. When the mediator has concluded her/his investigations, a final meeting is held.
Parents may approach Ofsted directly at any stage of this complaints procedure. Where there seems a possible breach of registration requirements, it is essential to involve Ofsted, the registering and inspection body has a duty to ensure the Standards for Day Care are adhered to:
